Get Ready for Your Best Round Yet!

Pre-Round Warm-ups

A solid warm-up routine can set the stage for a great day on the course. Preparing both your body and mind before teeing off ensures better performance and reduces the risk of injury.

Why It Matters:
Jumping straight into your round without proper warm-up can lead to stiffness, poor swings, and inconsistent shots. A few simple exercises can help loosen muscles, improve flexibility, and sharpen focus.

5 Essential Pre-Round Warm-Ups

Mental Focus Drill – Visualization & Deep Breathing

  • Use a quiet moment to visualize your ideal round, from tee shots to putts.
  • Take deep breaths, inhaling for four seconds, holding for four, and exhaling for four.
  • This calms nerves and sharpens focus before stepping onto the course.

Resistance Band Shoulder & Back Stretch

  • Use a stretch band to gently loosen shoulders and upper back.
  • Hold the band overhead and slowly pull it apart to engage your back muscles.

Swing Trainer Warm-Up

  • Use a weighted swing trainer or tempo stick to take smooth, controlled practice swings.
  • Focus on proper tempo and balance to activate your golf muscles.

Handheld Massager for Forearms & Wrists

  • Use a small massager or massage ball to loosen up forearm and wrist muscles.
  • This helps with grip strength and prevents early-round fatigue.

Lower Back & Hip Stretch with a Back Stretcher

  • Sit or lie down with a back stretcher to gently open up the lower spine.
  • Combine this with light hip rotations to improve flexibility and rotation during your swing.

By incorporating these exercises, you’ll start your round feeling loose, focused, and ready to play your best!
